smART Explorers of Chicago continues to cultivate growing young artists with our brilliant programs wonderfully designed for preschool age children. These programs expand and nurture your preschooler’s creativity, imagination and initiative.

smART Explorers artists are trained to actively listen to and talk with your preschoolers while encouraging their full participation in both discussion and artistic experimentation.

Children will gain confidence as learners and curiosity about the world while developing their abilities to express what they see in a non-competitive and safe environment. Your students will be exposed to a variety of high quality media while exploring line, shape, color and form!

We come to your preschool every month delivering theme based FUN ART programs. Our programs have been carefully planned to develop your preschoolers’ social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills through art.

Sample Programs for Preschool

3-D Art
Close your eyes and let your fingers do the seeing! In 3- D art we will focus on our sense of touch. We will make homemade 3-D puffy paint, create textured masterpieces, learn about Braille, and finally make a starch finger-painting!

Imagine That
Learn all about art through imagination as we journey through the many inventions and art works of Leonardo Da Vinci. We will make wishing sticks, and our creativity as we bring our own inventions to life!

Leaf Motif
Take a trip through fall, as we learn about different leafs, and the many unique patterns they have. We will make watercolor leafs, a leaf relief, a leaf print, and even make a leaf dragonfly!

Masquerade Parade
Come along as we explore the history and uses of masks! Learn how to express emotions using dramatic masks, and make our own Mardi Gras masks to take home!

Medieval Art
Join us for medieval art, as we travel back to a time of princesses, knights, castles, and court jesters. We will paint a beautiful castle skyline, and learn all about family crests, as we make our very own family coat of arms!
